Peugeot has introduced new extras – 6-Speed manual gearbox and Euro 5 HDi 112 horsepower diesel power unit – for the current Peugeot 207 hatchback and SW models. The exclusive combination of new 6-speed manual gearbox and more potent HDi engine now replaces the "old" 207 Sport HDi 110 hatchback and SW Sport and Outdoor HDi 110 models.

Thanks to its almost fully re-modified architecture and new technology features - Extreme Combustion Chamber System (ECCS) technology; new Continental Automotive System; new engine management software; Honeywell Turbo Technology variable-geometry turbocharger - the new 1.6-litre HDi FAP diesel powerplant covers unmistakably the exacting requirements of the Euro 5 emission standards and achieves some stunningly bettered figures over the current 110 horsepower unit. These include increased performance in terms of driveability and responsiveness, as well as quieter operation, while at the same time reducing CO2 emissions.

It boasts new high-end design with a capacity of 1,560 cm3 and eight valves. The maximum torque output tops 270 Nm at 1,750 revs, an increase of 12.5% over the current engine and, during overboost, 285 compared to 260 Nm. Its maximum power output is 112 horsepower at 3600 rpm.
