For model year 2010, the sporty Spanish car maker Seat has already started to pique the style- and cost-conscious drivers interest with the addition of the 2010 Seat Ibiza FR TDI. Available in both sporty SC and practical 5dr bodystyles, the price for the Seat's newcomer starts at just £16,465.

The new diesel-powered extension emphasizes the Spanish brand's commitment to the burgeoning diesel hot hatch class. Its power output estimates the muscular 143hp, a value enough to catapult the vehicle from standstill to 100 km/h in less than 8.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 210 km/h. The common rail diesel unit is fully Euro V-compliant and is linked to a smooth and precise six-speed manual gearbox offering exceptional performance yet remarkable economy.

Standard features in the new Ibiza FR TDI includes climate control, ESP with SEAT's clever new XDS electronic ‘virtual' limited slip differential and, of course, exclusive FR detailing inside and out.

Already in the brand's dealerships, the new Ibiza FR TDI will meet its first owners in March 2010.
