BMW has announced that the 2011 BMW ALPINA B7 high-performance sedan will join the brand's North American product line-up as the most potent BMW 7 Series model. Based on the current BMW 7 Series platform, the new ALPINA B7 marks the second generation of ALPINA automobiles based on the BMW 7 Series to be offered in the US.

Undoubtedly aimed at proving itself as the most logical choice for customers demanding for performance, refinement, technology, luxury and exclusivity, the 2010 ALPINA B7 is ready to offer matchless driving experience.

The B7 sedan packs an all-aluminum, BMW twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter, V-8 power unit which has been improved by ALPINA. It is capable to generate 500 horsepower (373kW) and 516 lb-ft (700Nm) of torque. With this refined engine, the rear-wheel drive Sedan accelerates from standstill to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds flat.

Outside, the performance/luxury B7 sedan benefits from ALPINA's aero kit, including front and rear spoilers which not only improve the styling of the car but also gains more stability and safety at high speeds. Another striking element found on the vehicle's exterior is the two polished double-tailpipes exhaust unit integrated into the rear bumper. Moreover, the 2011 B7 stands on the 20-spoke ALPINA CLASSIC 21-inch wheels.

Inside, the exclusively luxurious styling continues with the addition of ALPINA blue illuminated door sill trims, SWITCH-TRONIC steering wheel in hand-stitched LAVALINA leather, and a Black-Panel LCD screen instrument cluster branded with ALPINA.

The 2011 ALPINA B7 Sedan will be available on the market in spring of 2010. Its pricing is still unknown.
