2011 Grand Cherokee is now available at the European market. The big SUV is priced at €52 200 and it is currently only offered in Overland trim, which is the highest available on the American market.

The engine range features three choices, two petrol and a diesel. The entry-level is a Pentastar 3.6 liter V6 with 286HP and 347Nm (255 lb-ft), while the big 5.7 liter V8 develops 352HP and 520Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque. The diesel engine is a V6 with 225HP, but it will arrive early next year. All engines are mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.

The performance figures for the V6 petrol are 9.1 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and top speed of 206 km/h (127mph) and 11.4 l/100 km (20mpg) and 265 g/km of CO2. The more powerful V8 accelerates the big vehicle to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds and hits a top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph), while averages 14.1 l/100km (16 mpg).

The Overland trim boasts active bi-xenon headlights, sunroof, powered tailgate, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, traction control, stability control for trailer towing and seven airbags.

The Grand Cherokee Overland V6 is priced from €52 200 to €63 800 for the V8. The options list includes metallic paint for €850 or the Safety Pack, featuring active cruise control and blind sport sensors for €1 800.
