The upcoming 2014 BMW M3 F80 was put on some various tests at the Nürburgring. The new M3 is going to have a six-cylinder petrol engine with several turbochargers, probably three.

The engine will also get a heavily modified cylinder head and a strengthened aluminum block in order to maintain the power, which will be around 450HP. It will be mated to a standard manual gearbox or to an optional DCT (double-clutch transmission), which is faster than the manual variant.
