2015 Ford Ranger WildtrackFord's trustworthy and smart Ranger pickup model will make its European debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and will reveal its stylish design, hi-tech gadgets and impressive fuel efficiency rates. Furthermore, the flagship Wildtrak model takes the whole Ranger lineup to completely new level with the exclusive exterior styling, the additional interior trims and the fresh new color: Pride Orange.

Wildtrak – is it the ultimate Ranger?

The Wildtrack defends its status with numerous features, along with the unique dark, liquid metallic grey finish for some of the exterior components. This exclusive affair continues with the rectangular fog lamps, unique sports hoop, machined 18-inch alloy wheels and nicely done graphics.

The inside of the vehicle is especially created to add a sense of sportiness and aggressiveness. There is a strong horizontal beam spanning from driver to passenger door just to accent on the cabin's width, houses with dual color digital displays and dual color digital display with an eight-inch touch screen. The Wildtrack also includes and unique seats. They are an eight-way power adjustable driver's seats with interesting graphical elements and combine toughness, durability and sportiness.

The new Ranger offers incredible fuel economy with its latest powertrain range which is enhanced by the Auto-Start-Stop technology and Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS). The incorporation of these systems delivers a fuel consumption with up to 17 per cent economy. Cool.

The upgraded diesel lineup comes with a 160 hp (117 kW) 2.2.-liter TDCi engine. This unit actually delivers better stats, compared to the 125 hp and 150 hp versions in the ongoing model. Furthermore, the powerplant is paired to either six-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox. And Ford team also offers customers to select the vehicle with four-wheel-drive or two-wheel-drive systems.

Additional technologies

The Wildtrack will come with extended list of technologies and tweaks. First of all, there is the voice-activated SYNC 2 connectivity system, paired to a 8-inch touch screen. The car also offers Lane Keeping Alert and Lane Keeping Aid, Adaptive Cruise Control, Front and Rear Park Assist, Rear View Camera and Electronic Stability Control System. But this is not all. Other smart technologies include Hill Launch Assist, Hill Descent Assist, Adaptive Load Control and Emergency Brake Assistance.
