2015 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport - More Power
Land Rover has officially revealed the 2015 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models. Both SUVs come with a number of upgrades including more power and some styling tweaks. Range Rover and Range Rover Sport are going to substantiate their status as the world's best luxury and premium sporting SUVs, unrivalled in their breadth of capability, both on- and off-road.
The mighty 4.4 liter SDV8 diesel engine now delivers 40Nm (29 lb-ft) more bumping the final figure to 740Nm (546 lb-ft) at just 1,700RPM. The power unit continues to develop 339HP (249 kW) sent to the road through an updated version of the ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox featuring a revised torque converter now boasting a twin-spring damper. The fuel economy remains unchanged – 32.5 mpg UK (8.7 liters / 100 km) on combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 229 g/km.
2015 Range Rover comes with revised puddle lamps now projecting each vehicle's silhouette onto the ground at night to light the way for occupants. There is also a fixed panoramic roof with power blinds as well as 19" Satin Dark Grey alloy wheels. The LWD variant will be available with huge 22" rims fitted with proper tires. The color range includes Kaikoura Stone and Aruba Silver along with body-colored or black roof and door sills.
Other nice feature is the Intelligent Cargo Mode system. It automatically moves the front seats forward when detecting contact with the rear ones. After the rear seats are folded down, the front ones will automatically return to their original position.
The standard equipment includes InControl Remote and InControl Secure providing safety services like - SOS Emergency Call and Optimised Land Rover Assistance. There are also Wi-Fi hotspot and smartphone compatibility.
The 2015 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport are available to order from 16th July.
