2016 Volkswagen Sharan will be offered from today, ahead of the UK starting sales in October for U.K. As you know, the special seven-seater was first unveiled back in 1995 and since then the vehicle received numerous modifications, upgrades and add-ons. And now it comes even more powerful and more efficient. Let's check out what it has to offer.

The model went on sale back in 2010 and was the first Sharan to feature the EasyFold seating tweak and side sliding doors. These two well-known and loved models are also included in the latest mode, that comes with numerous more goodies.

The inside of the latest Sharan is refreshed and redesigned with special upholsteries, steering wheel and latest generation of touch screen multimedia MIB system. Also, the lineup offers a special Automatic Post-Collision Braking System, Bluetooth phone connection and a special three-zone air conditioning. Nice.

In fact, the special SE trim comes with grain chrome roof rails and tinted rear glass, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, a special panoramic sunroof, Discover Navigation and many more.

And as we all know, the most important part of the vehicle is the drivetrain system. The 2016 Sharan comes with four engine options: one petrol powerplant and three diesel units, that produce a variety of power output: from 115 hp (84 kW) to 184 hp (135 kW). And of course, every engine model is EU6 compliant, more efficient and with improved CO2 emissions. Furthermore all models, except the 115 PS TDI come with two options for gearbox: a six-speed manual or a six-speed DSG. Sweet.

Prices for the 2016 Renault Sharan start from $40,588.
