Under the Hood is V8

Under the hood of the Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 is the powerful and efficient V8 engine. The powerplant is integral part of model's capability and utilization of advanced technologies such as direct injection, Active Fuel Management and continuously variable valve timing.

The purpose for this is to offer the best V8 fuel economy in a pickup, which here is 23 mpg in 5.3L models for the most powerful engine in a light-duty truck. Its rating is 420 horsepower (313 kW) and 623 Nm (460 lb-ft) of torque. Another benefit is that the more powerful 6.2L enables an 11,700-pound max trailering rating with LTZ Z71 crew cab models, when properly equipped.

2016 Chevrolet Silverado Realtree Edition is going on sale this spring.
