The 2015 running  of the Mille Miglia has begun and Mercedes-Benz brand created a masterpiece, that combines the retro and modern with a stunning cutting-edge 360-degree film to mark the indeed special anniversary.

More than 60 years ago, in the 1 of May 1955, Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson won the Mille Miglia with the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR number 722 vehicle. The team drove a total and exactly 10 hours, 7 minutes and 48 seconds with avearage of 98 miles per hour 9174 km/h) all on public roads. This ride is considered as one of the greates feads of driving ever. In fact, the record stands and today!

Back in 1955 the W 196 R were the most advanced cars in the world- they had won every single race, thankfully to the skilled drivers and the cutting-edge technologies, that were unseen for the era. In fact, 50's marked a standard speed of 70 mph, while the W 196 R exceeded the stunning 180 mph. Impressive, right?

Now, after 60 years, Sir Stirling Moss reunited with the good ol' 300 SLR number 722 and took a ride on the same road, that he dominated in the 50's.
