Racing fans around the world will be excited to know that Lexus is introducing the RC F GT3 Concept in Geneva. The motorsport car is based on the recently revealed RC F performance coupe, which also makes a global debut at the show.

RC F GT3 was specifically developed to meet Group GT3 international racing standards. This means that it weighs 2,755.8 lbs. and comes with a modified version of the V8 engine (found in the coupe). The unit delivers maximum output that exceeds 540 horsepower (397 kW).

Lexus also stated that it will supply GT3-compliant vehicles to racing teams in the beginning of 2015. The model is scheduled to undergo testing this year. In other words, in 2015 we will probably see the GT3 concepts racing at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring endurance race in Germany and the Super Taikyu Endurance and Super GT series in Japan.
