Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG and C 63 AMG Edition 507 - Pricing Announced
2013 Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG and C 63 AMG Edition 507 are now being launched on the market after they have been introduced to the world in March during the 83rd International Motor Show in Geneva.
First 2013 Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG comes to set a new benchmark in the high-performance compact class with its maximum output of 265 kW (360 hp) and a peak torque of 450 Newton metres (332 lb-ft). Despite its powerful performance it consumes just 6.9 litres of petrol per 100 kilometres.
In addition, the model is equipped with performance-tuned AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive system fitted as standard. It delivers exceptional driving dynamics and an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.6 seconds.
Some of the highlights included in the A 45 AMG can be chosen via several packages. The first one is AMG Night package that includes privacy glass, black anodised beltline trim strip, black tailpipe trims in chromed finish, radiator fins in silver chrome, high-gloss black painted finish for front splitter, exterior mirrors, side sill panel inserts and rear apron trim. It is priced at €797.30.
The second one is the AMG Exterior Carbon-Fibre package which features: front splitter, side sill panel inserts and trim on rear apron in genuine carbon fibre. It has a price of €2975. The third package offered here is the AMG Aerodynamics package that adds AMG rear aerofoil, additional flics in front apron, larger front splitter, and is priced at €1785.
At last, there is the AMG Exclusive package that delivers heated front sports seats upholstered in black leather with red contrasting topstitching, dashboard and door centre panels in ARTICO man-made leather with red contrasting topstitching. It can be ordered for €1309.
Another exclusive vehicle is the Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG Edition 1, which combines technical sophistication with exceptional visual appearance. The reason behind this is that it boasts a fascinating array of exclusive exterior and interior details.
The A 45 AMG Edition 1 puts a pure focus to the motorsport: the exterior paint finish in cirrus white is complemented by AMG sports stripes in matt graphite grey on the bonnet, roof and sides. While the red detailing on the radiator grille, exterior mirrors and rear aerofoil makes the perfect contrast.
The contrast is continued via the red painted brake callipers and the AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels painted in matt black with special AMG hub caps in central-locking look. The 8 x 19 light-alloy wheels are fitted all-round with 235/35 R 19 tyres. The AMG Night package and the Aerodynamics package are featured as standard on the Edition 1.
When one is inside the car, one is surrounded by the black and red interior. For instance, red contrasting topstitching can be seen on the AMG performance seats in ARTICO man-made leather/DINAMICA microfibre, the top section of the dashboard in ARTICO man-made leather and the AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather/DINAMICA microfibre.
Other visual accents are the E-SELECT lever with embossed AMG emblem and the Edition 1 badge on the AMG DRIVE UNIT.
2013 Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG will be launched in June this year and is priced at €49,682.50, while the A 45 AMG "Edition 1" – at €56,977.20.
