Peugeot debuts the new 408 at Beijing Autoshow

At the Beijing Autoshow, the French car manufacturer Peugeot has unwrapped the new Peugeot 408. Designed specially for the Chinese market, the newcomer is not the direct successor of the elegant Peugeot 407, it is the sedan version of the well-known small family vehicle 308.

This new mid size sedan from Peugeot is fully engineered in collaboration with the Chinese group DFM

The Dong Feng Peugeot 408 will be offered with a choice of two power units, a 1.6-liter petrol engine and a 2.0-liter petrol engine both available with manual or automatic gearboxes. It will be manufactured at the Wuhan plant in Hubei province in China. It is set to become one of the market’s key models with a full-year sales target of 100,000 units.
