A lap on Nurburgring-Nordschleife is a measure of every super sports car. Seven minutes and 18 seconds is one of the fastest times ever made with street legal car. Porsche 911 GT2 RS achieved this amazing result, because of its perfect performance characteristics – 620hp and total weight of 1 370kg.

This is the most powerful street legal sports car, which is ever built the history of Porsche AG.

Power-to-weight ratio of GT2 RS is the amazing 2.21kg per hp, which makes it the best in the class. Despite the extra power, the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are lower than these in 911 GT2. RS goes with only 11.9l/100km and 284g/km of CO2.

The engine is well-known six-cylinder boxer engine with two turbochargers. Combined with six-speed manual gearbox gives GT2 RS amazing performance. The car is equipped with specially developed 325/30 ZR 19 tires. Acceleration is astonishing – 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 9.8 seconds and 0 to 300 in 28.9 seconds. Top speed is staggering 330 km/h. GT2 RS is a real rocket on the road,  at any gear and revs it just blast-off.

Of course, composite ceramic brakes are obligatory to maintain all power of GT2 RS. To ensure a perfect road behaviour, the car has Porsche Adaptive Suspension Management, anti-roll bars and Porsche Stability Management.

Inside the car features lightweight bucket seats made of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic in carbon surface finish and lightweight door panels with door opening straps. The basic colour of the interior is black. Both, the gearshift and handbrake lever are finished in red alcantara.

Porsche GT2 RS is limited to 500 units and it will be available in Europe from September 2010. The base price is 199 500 Euro. Including VAT, national specifications and equipment  GT2 RS will sale in Germany at a price of 237 578 Euro.
