PPI Automotive Design GmbH is one of the first addresses when refining automobiles by Audi. Already since 1997, the company based in the Southern German town of Waiblingen, develops and produces powerful performance enhancements, lift-reducing aerodynamic components and perfectly finished interiors.

Due to the large interest in different optical programmes for the Audi TT, the company designers developed another aerodynamics kit called PS TT Sport. It turns the Audi Coupé into an impressive race car. Alone the design elements which have been developed in the wind tunnel render this impression and thereby also measurably reduce the lifting forces at the front- and rear axle. With the PS TT Sport, the premium tuner PPI presents an even more sportive and individual version of the PPI PS TT at the Essen Motor Show 2008.

A body kit component is the sportive-dynamic front spoiler which is now also available for the S-line front apron. Integrated carbon inserts with large air inlets channel the air to the radiators and give the car an optically even more aggressive appearance. The front is enhanced with the new main headlights with LED technology and the especially light carbon hood with motor ventilation. The innovative windscreen spoiler is a striking eye-catcher and aerodynamic novelty at the front. The optical link between front and rear section are the PPI side skirts. They do not only slow down the air current between the axles, but also give the PS TT Sport a powerful look even while the car is still parked. Newly developed rear mirror covers complete the PPI sport look and reduce disturbing wind noise at the same time. Especially for the original rear apron, PPI developed a rear diffuser and additional air ducts. They provide space for the four end pipes of the PPI sport exhaust system and generate further downthrust at the rear axle with the newly developed two-piece rear spoiler. With this additional rear spoiler which has been developed in the wind tunnel, the mechanics of the serial rear spoiler remains functional.

One of the technical highlights of the offered tuning programme is the 19" rim called PPI MAG11. Eleven filigree spokes in glossy black give the wheel its exceptionally noble and sportive look. By its production in forged technology, it is extremely light and solid. At the same time, the reduced unsprung masses not only improve the handling, but also the acceleration and braking characteristics. The wheel-tyre combination is available in 9.0Jx19" with tyres sized 235/33ZR19.

PPI recommends the high performance tyre type pilot Sport2 by its technology partner Michelin.

By lowering the vehicle´s centre of gravity by 30 mm with PPI sport springs, the handling is significantly eased. A sport brake system with larger and perforated disks measuring 315 x 25 renders optimal deceleration values and optically differs from the serial model by its black multi-piston brake callipers bearing the PPI logo.

Perfected technology for superior performance enhancement

With the performance kit I for the 2,0 TFSI motor of the Audi TT, PPI supplies the core part of the tuning programme. The upgrade includes a sport air filter, a stainless steel exhaust system with a sportive sonorous sound and a new motor management. 180 kW / 245 hp at 5,100 rpm and a maximum torque of 366 Newton metres between 1,800 and 5,000 rpm are the key figures which also have a significant effect on the stop watch. By accelerating from 0 to 100 in 6.3 seconds, the PPI PS TT Sport is three tenths of a second faster than its serial counterpart. The maximum torque is limited and therefore the maximum speed is 250 km/h.

The highlight of the interior is an ergonomically newly designed PPI "Identity" sport steering wheel. Thanks to its new form it lies much better in the hand and still offers all functions of the serial steering wheel. Matching this, PPI also refines the gear shift skirt and hand brake with leather and the own logo. Whether noble or sportive - PPI offers the ideal components for any interior taste. Whether carbon or black piano lacquer, leather or ultra suede. On demand, our upholsterer supplies everything that makes your heart beat faster.
