Renault has announced a new, more affordable Gordini version of its urban mini car Twingo, which wears the tempting price tag of 11,395 GBP. Dubbed Twingo Gordini 100, the twin-striped Renault ride is powered by a 1.2 TCe (Turbo Control Efficiency) petrol unit capable of delivering 100 horsepower at 5,500 rpm, and top speed of 117 mph.

This small head-turner is aimed at young buyers searching for nice handling properties, small running costs and fresh styling. On its exterior, the sporty three-door Renault is instantly recognizable as a Gordini model, as it boasts the famous trademark - twin racing stripes with subtle ‘G' badging across the bonnet, roof and tailgate. Furthermore, its outer livery continues with gloss black front and rear bumpers, extra-tinted rear windows and tailgate and discreet Gordini Series badging.

Inside the cockpit, the Renault Twingo Gordini 100 exclusive styling is continued, packing dark carbon cloth seats with embossed Gordini logo and white stitching, blue door trim inserts with white stitching and blue leather-trimmed steering wheel with two white stripes to indicate the straight ahead position. The Gordini rev-counter naturally comes in trademark blue with white background and bezel, while the Gordini gear lever knob shares the same blue hue, as does the gear lever base. Completing the raft of accoutrements is a gloss-black center console and aluminum pedals.

More on-board highlights found on the Twingo Gordini 100 include 4x20W RDS radio with single CD MP3 player, Bluetooth and aux input, air conditioning, 15-inch ‘Turini' lightweight alloys with polished face and black inserts, cruise control, electric windows, speed limiter and independent sliding and folding rear seats.
