Volkswagen has released a new promo video of the upcoming 2013 Golf R Cabriolet. The high-performance open-top car is identical to the concept version unveiled at GTI-Worthersee in 2011.

The Golf R Cabriolet comes with aerodynamics package including a new aggressive front fascia, aerodynamic side skirts and a dual exhaust system. There are also LED DRLs, some gloss black accents and Talladega-style alloy wheels fitted with low-profile tires.

The interior boasts embroidered leather seats, a flat-bottom sports steering wheel and R logos all around.

The model will be powered by the 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with 270HP (199 kW) and 350Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
