Aston Martin today announces that it has appointed Julian Jenkins as Vice President and General Manager of Aston Martin North America based at the company's regional headquarters in Irvine, California.

Julian Jenkins, 39, joins Aston Martin from Bentley Motors where he most recently held the position of Director – Marketing, Communications and Product for North and South America, with responsibility for developing Marketing and Media plans for Bentley.  Julian was previously Regional Director for South Asia and Australasia where he grew the region through a combination of new dealer appointments and the successful regional launch of three new models.

Julian's role as Vice President and General Manager of Aston Martin North America embraces sales and service, public relations, brand marketing and communications to both Aston Martin's customers and 38 dealers in the region.

"Julian's broad and successful experience within the North American market and automotive industry will help develop further the brand of Aston Martin throughout the United States," said Dr Ulrich Bez, Chief Executive Officer of Aston Martin.

"Aston Martin entered 2008 with renewed recognition for the strength of its brand and acclaim for its products from both the design and motoring media. The company needs to build on this success especially in one of our largest markets, the United States, through continued dealer network expansion and new product introductions," continued Dr Bez.
