BMW will install its ActiveHybrid technology to the 5 Series F10. The model has been already announced for a 2011 debut and introducing a concept 5er ActiveHybrid at the Geneva motor show earlier this year.

The details are limited, but the vehicle will features 3.0 liter twin-turbo inline-six with 306PS (225 kW) with a 54PS (40 kW) electric motor managed by BMW's newest 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The goal is 10 percent improvement in fuel-economy over other 5-Series models. The car will also be a little faster and having better mileage over the standard 535i.
