DVLA in ‘Licence to Thrill’ Car Giveaway
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) today launched a free prize draw to win a car for motorists renewing their vehicle tax - with three new cars up for grabs each month for a year.
With more than 26 million customers to date, DVLA's online and telephone services to tax and SORN vehicles has already proved a huge hit with drivers. To encourage greater use of Electronic Vehicle Licensing (EVL), motorists are being given the chance to win one of three brand new SEAT Ibiza Ecomotive 1.4 TDI cars each month. The SEAT Ibiza Ecomotive 1.4 TDI has CO2 emissions of 99g/km and so qualifies for zero charge for vehicle tax and, from 27 October 2008, the London Congestion Charge.
Andrew Rhodes, DVLA's Customer Services Director, said:
"With the home nations' absence in Euro 2008 it may seem there is little to smile about this summer. But thanks to SEAT the DVLA will be giving away three new cars each month while reminding all our customers just how quick and easy it is to use our electronic services.
If you use the online or telephone service, you don't even need to find your MOT or insurance documents, as we automatically check them for you, and the service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and takes less than 4 minutes to complete."
To renew vehicle tax or SORN quickly and easily logo onto: www.direct.gov.uk/taxdisc or phone 0870 850 4444 or textphone 0870 850 4445. There will be three winners per month.
