Volvo Cars' Swiss sales company, Volvo Automobile (Schweiz) AG received gold, silver and bronze medals for its direct advertising. The awards were handed over at the DM Preis exhibition in Switzerland.
The gold medal and public vote went to Volvo Automobile Switzerland for the V70/XC70 campaign entitled "Knut's day mailing".
It is always particularly gratifying to receive the public's prize, but the campaign not only won the exhibition visitors' and jury's hearts, it also resulted in 95 sold cars. That result was directly linked to the mailing campaign.

The V50 campaign, "reason/passion", which was directed at Volvo V40 customers (a previous model), gave a silver medal and sales of 71 Volvo V50s.

Direct advertising for the Volvo C30 for driving schools and the Volvo V70/XC70 "friendship" campaign resulted in a bronze medal from the jury.

The campaign exceeded all expectations as regards responses and shows Volvo's values in an excellent way. As regards the C30 campaign, it was the originality and the continuity of the mailing campaign that clinched the jury's decision.
