Maserati's new GranCabrio to debut in Frankfurt
The Maserati GranCabrio will be shown on September 15 at Frankfurt Motor Show for the first time. This car will complete Maserati's product line-up: Quattroporte – saloon; GranTurismo – sports coupe and GranCabrio – convertible.
The Maserati GranCabrio enriches all five senses in a shared open-air experience, without sacrificing comfort and performance.
The GranCabrio represents the very essence of Maserati in terms of open-top cars. It's a Maserati in the purest sense of the word: from the unmistakable style by Pininfarina to the spacious interior, from the craftsmanship of each detail to the driving pleasure and performance.
-This is not the first convertible from Maserati, in fact they have quite a history in making open-top cars such as - 1950 A6G Frua Spyder, 1960 3500GT Vignale Spyder, 1964 Mistral Spyder, 1968 Ghibli Spyder and 2001 Spyder. The innovation is that the GranCabrio is a proper four-seater convertible.
Powered by a 4.7 litre V8 440hp engine the GranCabrio is not only good looking, but incredibly fast car. It also has the longest wheelbase in his class, so the comfort is on excellent level. The roof of GranCabrio is strictly canvas-made like the other convertibles from Maserati.
GranCabrio will hit the market next winter.
