Fiat has announced a new limited-edition of its classic urban mini Fiat 500, dedicated exclusively to the brand's most enthusiastic fans in the US. Dubbed Fiat 500 Cinquecento ‘Prima Edizione' (First Edition), the unique model will be limited to only 500 examples, and the first offered with the chance to get one of these collector's rides was the long-time enthusiasts of the Club Fiat-Lancia Unlimited.

Laura Soave, Head of Fiat North America, explained: "The Fiat Cinquecento Prima Edizione was developed especially with the Fiat fans in mind. For over a quarter of a century, the members of this Club have kept the spirit of the Fiat and Lancia brands alive in North America through their unique and passionate support for true Italian design. We really value their loyalty, and the Prima Edizione is our gift of appreciation to these fans on behalf of Fiat North America."

The Fiat 500 Prima Edizione will be offered in three remarkable exterior shades: Bianco (White), Rosso (Red) and Grigio (Gray). Boasting the brand's innovative engine technology – MultiAir, each of the highly-exclusive 500 Prima Edizione vehicles will be fitted with a 1.4-liter MultiAir four-cylinder power unit mated to a manual transmission. The Italian stylish urban mini will be introduced in North America at the end of 2010 and will benefit from a special Prima Edizione badge, a sequential VIN as well as a badge numbered according to the ride's production order.
