The privately-owned Chinese car maker – Great Wall Motor Company Limited has signed an agreement with the UK-based automotive importer – I.M. Group. According to the agreement, I.M. Group will start to import vehicles from the Chinese manufacturer into Europe starting next year.

For 2010, Great Wall Motor Company Limited has targeted the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania as main European markets, and from 2011, launches in Scandinavia, the UK and Ireland are scheduled.

The Great Wall models built for the European market will meet EU whole-vehicle type approval standards, which will ensure high standards of crash-worthiness, equal to those of modern European and Japanese vehicles.
