Mercedes announced a Performance Package Plus, which enhances the performance of the already successful Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. The new Performance Package Plus is an exclusive extra that increases the C63 AMG's output performance by 22 kW/30 hp to the astonishing 358 kW/487 hp. The result is a level of performance that approaches the one delivered by the C-Class DTM vehicles - 377 kW/500 hp.

The Performance Package Plus fits both the saloon and estate versions of the C63 AMG model, and includes an AMG high-performance braking system featuring composite technology on the front axle, a carbon fibre spoiler lip (saloon) and an AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather/Alcantara.

Equipped with the new extra, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG tops a maximum speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited) and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in 13.9 seconds, which is better than the factory model by more than 1.2 seconds.

The new AMG Performance Package Plus will be on the market from December 2009. It is priced at 7080.50 Euro for the saloon and 6426 Euro for the estate version of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.
