MTM Golf GTI – a true rival to the upcoming Golf R
Motoren Technik Mayer (MTM) is ready with an exclusive tuning programme for the Volkswagen’s icon of sportiness – VW Golf VI GTI, which gives the car enough power to rival the upcoming Golf R. The refined MTM Golf GTI distinguishes with boosted engine, new wheels and new brakes.
The Wettstetten located automobile manufacturer has mounted a striking matt black 19’’ MTM Bimoto light alloy wheels wrapped in 235/35 19 size Continental XL Sportcont tyres, which creates great contrast with the vehicle’s red color. For a proper road holding, the MTM Golf GTI is equipped with a 380mm discs and 8-piston calipers Brembo brakes.
Thanks to the reprogrammed ECU software and an additional air filter, the MTM tuner has improved the GTI’s engine performance to the ultimate 270bhp and 400Nm of torque. The top speed of the MTM Golf GTI is electronicaly limited to a 265km/h.
