At the end of the 45th Ulster International Rally, Sebastien Ogier and Jack Boyere have won the twowheel drive category in their C2-R2 MAX. Called up recently to replace Simon Jean-Joseph, who is recovering from facial injuries, Sebastien was co-driven by Jack Boyere in the Citroen prepared and maintained by PH-Sport. Thanks also to the qualities of their BFGoodrich tyres, the crew was able to highlight the capabilities of the C2-R2 MAX on the demanding roads of Ireland.
Audi have prematurely clinched the LM P1 Manufacturers’ Championship in the American Le Mans Series with their third consecutive 1-2 victory. Before the last three races, the brand with the four rings is out of reach in the classifications for engine and chassis manufacturers.
Valencia (ES). At the maiden F1 event in Valencia Robert Kubica finished third. It is the eighth podium for the BMW Sauber F1 Team in 2008 and the fifth this season for the Pole. Kubica started the European Grand Prix from third on the grid. Team mate Nick Heidfeld slid from eighth to ninth immediately after the start and did not score in Spain.
