In answer to the huge enthusiasts demand for a sporty-orientated version of the famous Jetta TDI, Volkswagen of America is revealing the 2010 VW Jetta TDI Cup Street Edition. Truly inspired by the record-breaking VW Jetta TDI Cup race vehicle, the Street Edition hosts various modifications improving the ride inside and out.

On the outside, the 2010 Jetta TDI Cup Street Edition is fitted with the same aero kit found on the TDI Cup race cars, which includes re-engineered front bumper, side skirts, and rear valance. Among the exterior highlights are also 18-inch "Charleston" design alloys wrapped in high-performance tyres, larger GLI brakes with red painted calipers, and the European-tuned sport suspension from the VW Jetta GLI high-performance model.

Inside, the specialists at Volkswagen have boosted the cockpit of the Street Edition with brand-new sport seats with Interlagos cloth, a leather-wrapped, multi-function steering wheel, and brushed aluminum door sills.

For the proper amount of power, VW has mounted the 2.0-litre TDI Clean Diesel powerplant with 140 horsepower and 236 lbs.-ft. of torque. The newcomer is available with either six-speed manual, or six-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG®) transmission.

The stunning 2010 Jetta TDI Cup Street Edition is already available in the dealerships across the US with a price tag starting at $24,990.
