2011 Nissan X-trail hits the market in the UK. The SUV has already started selling and the first deliveries are set to begin this month.

There are some updates on the exterior and interior and the manufacturer also reduced its CO2 emissions. The entry level 2011 Nissan X-trail Ascenta is priced at £23 995 and it offers very good value for money. The standard equipment includes body colored electrically adjusting door mirrors, privacy glass, automatic headlamps and wipers, front fog lamps and 17" alloy wheels.

The next level – Tekna is priced from £27 495 and features power-folding door mirrors, xenon headlamps, panoramic sunroof and leather seats. Its infotainment package comprises a Connect Premium HDD sat-nav with music server and USB port, a rear view camera and BOSE audio with nine speakers. Its CO2 emissions level is lower by 15 per cent as its 173 hp 2.0l dCi engine  mated with a manual gearbox now emits just 168 g/km. The fuel efficiency is improved from 38.2 mpg (7.4l per 100km) to 44.1 mpg (6.4l per 100km).

The 150 hp 2.0l dCi engine has decreased its emissions to 188g/kg and the fuel economy rised to 39.8 mpg (7.1 l per 100km), instead of 8.1 l/100km.

2011 Nissan X-trail also features a new manual gearbox and enhanced friction reduction for automatic transmissions.

The last feature of the SUV are the low rolling resistance tires, which also improve the fuel consumption and the riding comfort.
