2013 Volkswagen Golf GTD - UK Price £25,285

Volkswagen has announced the pricing for Golf VII GTD in the UK. The hot hatchback diesel is starting from £25,285, which is just £310 more than its predecessor.

2013 Volkswagen Golf VII GTD is powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder common-rail diesel with 184HP (135 kW) at 3,500RPM and 379Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque at just 1,750RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or DSG for additional £1415.

0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph). It returns 67.3 mpg UK – 4.1 liters per 100 km in combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 109 g/km.

Some of the highlights include smoked LED rear lights, bi-xenon headlights, LED license plate illumination, LED daytime running lights, 18-inch alloys with 225/40 tires, chrome dual tailpipes, sports suspension, rear diffuser, beefier side skirts and a big roof spoiler.

The interior boasts Jacara Grey sports seats, sports steering wheel, black roof lining, stainless steel pedals and GTD-specific gear lever, instrument cluster and trim strips.

There is also a dual-zone climate control, white ambience lighting and touchscreen infotainment system.
