Hyundai i40 Front ViewHyundai has released more specifics about the i40 and the great news that the model will get three new trim levels: Tourer, Saloon and SE Nav, next to the S, SE and Premium trims. This will not only add refreshed vibe in the range, but will also attract new buyers. In addition, the company has applied new design approach, which benefits from giving the exterior and interior refreshed styling. There is also an upgrade in the engine and transmission range, and not to mention the improved ride and handling, safety or convenience features.

Exterior

The new i40 will be different from its predecessor with its significantly changed front grille and bumper as well as with the new shape for its front and rear lights. The entry level S trim on the Saloon will ride on 16" alloy wheels and will have automatic headlights with dusk sensor, while the SE Nav will get LED front fog lights. The top of the range Premium models will benefit from 18" alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof with electric tilt and slide.

Interior

There are even bigger changes and a lot of features on the inside. First the S trim on the Saloon will get Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning, leather wrapped steering wheel that will also get audio and telephone controls.

On the other hand, those who will chose the SE Nav trim level, will benefit from standard capable touchscreen satellite navigation with rear view parking camera and parking guidance system. This trim also adds DAV radio, auto dimming rear view mirror, climate control with auto defog, heated front seats, and a seven speaker sounds system. Other options include keyless smart entry with start/stop button and driver's seat memory function.

The advantage of purchasing a Premium level car will give one features like luggage net, super vision instrument cluster with LCD colour display and lane departure warning.

Drivetrain

Hyundai i40 can now show-off with a range of three economical Blue Drive engines: the 1.7-litre diesel pushing 115 hp (85 kW) and the 1.7-litre diesel with 141 hp (104 kW) both connected to the six speed manual transmission, or the 1.7-litre diesel mated to a seven speed DCT.

2015 Hyundai i40 is currently available to order in the United Kingdom and has a starting price of £19,600.
