2011 Baojun 630 is expected to cost $7 000 (€5 283), but what it offers for such low price?

The car is based on Buick Excelle and powered by 1.5 liter four-cylinder engine with 105HP (78 kW) and 135Nm (100 lb-ft) of torque. There is no information about the extras, but hopefully the car is equipped with power windows and at least 2 airbags. We are very sceptical for such cars costing a lot less than the others.

However, a Chinese launch is scheduled for early 2011 and production is targeted to exceed 100 000 units.

Kevin Wale, President and Managing Director of the GM China Group commented: "We carefully studied the market and customers,"

"Quality, design, fuel economy and durability were made a focus to appeal to local car buyers, particularly first-time buyers in the nation's second- and third-tier markets.", he added.
