At the 79th International Motor Show in Geneva, Italdesign Giugiaro unveils the Brilliance BS2 at its European preview.

For the Chinese auto-maker, the Italdesign Giugiaro Style Centre has followed up the design of the interior and the external styling of the new BS2 two-box. Built entirely in China, the vehicle features a dynamic, sporting line; in the side view, the muscular right-hand side is further emphasized by large mudguards balanced by the classically inspired grille. The interior is decidedly spacious and richly upholstered for maximum driving comfort; the 5 doors guarantee ease of access, making the BS2 a family-size car that still offers brilliant driving.

The FRV project, of which a 3-box version will be presented shortly, puts the seal on the long-term cooperation between the Moncalieri-based company and the Chinese manufacturer. The partnership with Brilliance dates back to 1997, the year in which Italdesign Giugiaro designed and engineered the Zhonghua sedan, the vehicle that marked its entry to the Chinese market.

Since 1997, cooperation has been extended to embrace all the main Chinese auto-makers, involving the Style Centre and Engineering Division, engaged in light transport, heavy transport, public transport and car projects. The importance of China for Italdesign Giugiaro's business was confirmed by the opening of a branch based in Shanghai in 2001.
