Today, at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Toyota has unwrapped the Toyota FT-CH compact hybrid concept, a four-seat vehicle aimed at the young generation.

Developed to be agile, responsive and maneuverable, the future hybrid excels as a pure inner-city ride. Offering spacious interior finished with style and unmatched passenger comfort, the FT-CH concept is created at Toyota's European Design and Development (ED2) centre in Nice, France.

In comparison with the Prius, the newcomer is 22 inches shorter in overall length, yet loses less than an inch in overall width. If it ever make it to production, the new concept will be priced below the Prius. It is also lighter in weight and even more fuel efficient than the Prius. The new compact Yaris-sized hybrid concept benefits from the so-called 8-bit retro-style, which speaks for a visual appearance with fun and innovative finish.
