Chevrolet has officially unveiled the 2011 Camaro Convertible just before its debut at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show. The stunning car will go on sale in February next year.

The top is made out of a durable canvas material and features an acoustic headliner as well as a glass rear window with a defogger. It needs just 20 seconds to fold down with a single push of a button. When the roof is down, the luggage capacity drops to 222 liters, instead of 290 liters.

The car is powered by 3.6 liter V6 Pentastar with 312HP (232 kW) and 370Nm (278 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is pretty good according to economy - 17MPG in city cycle and 29MPG on highway with manual transmission, and 18MPG in city and 29MPG on highway with automatic gearbox..

However, the 2011 Camaro Convertible will be also offered with the 6.2-liter L99 V8, which produces whopping 400HP (298 kW) and 556Nm (410 lb-ft) of torque. It is available exclusively with a six-speed automatic transmission and returns an estimated 16MPG in city and 25MPG on highway.

The most powerful version is the 6.2-liter LS3 V8 with 426HP (318kW) and 569Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and is expected to return 16MPG in city and 24MPG on highway.
