Citroen has announced the debut of a slightly restyled version of its spacious family car C5 at the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris. Fitted with upgrades in both, vision and technology, the 2011 Citroen C5 will be available at the brand's dealerships across Europe from the fourth-quarter of this year.

The more dynamic, 2011 C5 boasts freshly modified headlamps with specially designed LEDs and two new powertain additions, the e-HDi micro-hybrid that benefits from second-generation Stop & Start system and electronic gearbox system in combination with HDi 110 DPFS diesel unit, and a new-generation 2.2-liter HDi powerplant capable of generating the strong output figure of 200 horsepower.

Fitted with the all-new e-HDi, the freshened Citroen C5 will be able to deliver high-end driving comfort blended with ultra-low fuel consumption (4.6 l/100 km) and CO2 emissions (120 g/km).

In addition to that, Citroen's eTouch system will be available for first time on the new C5. The hi-tech module represents a pack of services, featuring emergency and assistance calls, virtual maintenance manual and an Eco-Driving service via the MyCITROEN personal web.
