At the renowned, upcoming Geneva Motor Show 2011, Fiat is about to reveal its latest addition – the 2011 Fiat Freemont. When we first saw the spacious ride, a Chrysler connection appeared immediately in our heads, and the official press release confirmed that – the all-new Fiat Freemont is based upon the Dodge Journey.

Offering its buyers extremely comfortable, roomy and versatile cabin, the 2011 Freemont represents a perfect solution for big families with diverse needs. It has 7 standard seats and dimensions of 489 cm length, 188 cm width and 172 cm height, as well as 289 cm wheelbase.

Its interior distinguishes with a high driving position, ergonomic seats, and a generous luggage area with two compartments and a flat load platform for an overall capacity of up to 1461-liters. Furthermore on-board, a up-to-date design and soft touch materials, including a wrap-around dashboard with chrome elements, a brand-new instrument panel, a strikingly good-looking central console and an innovative infotainment system with a large color touch-screen are immediately ready to please the passengers.

2011 Fiat Freemont's exterior sports sharp, muscular and decisive lines expressed exclusively in the front end design, the bumpers and the grille. In the rear area, the roomy ride showcases re-styled vision with new bumper and LED tail lights.

Under the hood, the Freemont will be offered with a choice of two turbo diesel power plants - 140 horsepower and a 170 horsepower 2.0 MultiJet , mated to a manual gearbox and front wheel drive. Later, the new Fiat addition will be also available in two all-wheel versions, fitted with a 170 horsepower 2.0 MultiJet and a 276 horsepower 3.6 petrol V6 block, both with automatic transmissions.
