BMW has exclusively announced July 2010 as a German market start of the brand-new top-of-the-range version of the BMW M3 high-performance sports car - BMW M3 GTS. The staggering road-legal, race-ready M3 GTS will boast a German price tag of 136.850 Euro (incl. 19% VAT).

Engineered by BMW M GmbH, one of the high-end divisions of BMW AG, the BMW M3 GTS will be fully manufactured in the Garching facility. It benefits from a remarkably optimized aerodynamics and lightweight construction, which results in the astonishing figure of 3.4 kg per hp power-to-weight ratio.

In the power compartment, the thrilling race-ready M3 GTS sports a 450 horsepower (331 kW) unit that ensures perfect basis for club sport events use, whilst at the same time being officially road-legal. Furthermore, the larger and extremely vigor V8 engine is backed by a re-tuned 7-speed M Dual Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic and revised suspension technology. Thanks to that, the BMW M3 GTS sprints from standstill to 100 km/h in only 4.4 seconds flat, before reaching its V-max of 305 km/h.
