At the Cannes Advertising Festival, Chevrolet has announced that its customers will soon be given the exclusive opportunity to experience the eco-friendly Chevy Volt in completely new way, through the Microsoft's all-new Kinect for Xbox360.

Kinect is an advanced controller-free approach in the gaming entertainment area and Chevrolet will be among the first companies to leverage the new technology when Kinect for Xbox 360 hit the market this fall.

The Chevy all-electric green ride will be available for virtual test drive in the "Kinect Joy Ride," the first controller-free racing game by Microsoft Game Studios. The brand's fans will be also able to learn the latest updates for the smart vehicle via Xbox LIVE or on the web.

Jim Campbell, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing, shares: "The Volt applies advanced environmental technology to give Chevrolet drivers freedom from the gas pump, making it one of the most exciting developments the automotive industry has seen in years. Our marketing campaign needs to reflect this."

"Kinect allows us to bring the excitement of the showroom to the living rooms of our customers," Campbell continued. "It's a way for us to replicate the experience of physically engaging with a product that is essential to the customer's purchasing decision."
