Lotus unveiled the City Car Concept, which is a 3-door, four-seat compact car with hybrid system.

Despite of the enormous weight for such a small car - 1 400kg, it has satisfying performance characteristic. The total power output is 220 PS (162kW) and 240Nm, although the continuous power figure is a more modest 54 kW (73 PS). The 1.2 liter petrol engine can run also on ethanol and methanol. The engine produces power for the electric motor alone and doesn't drive the car on its own.

Lotus City Car Concept accelerates to 100 km/h in 9 seconds and emits just 60 g/km on the total cycle but are zero if the car is run solely as city-prowling EV.

Some of the features are a glass roof, cabin upholstery in a prime green and yellow tartan fabric, as well as leather and carbon fiber touches.
