The premium Ingolstadt-based carmaker Audi has announced its intentions to debut a new top-of-the-range version of its all-new, ultra successful compact jewel A1 at the Paris Motor Show 2010. Equipped with a dual-charged 1.4 TFSI powerplant and a S-tronic dual-clutch transmission as standard, the new top Audi A1 will deliver its customers amazing performance figures - 185 horsepower (136 kW) and 250 Nm (184.39 lb-ft) of peak torque. Thanks to this stunning energy charge, the small eye-catcher will be able to estimate a time of only 6.9 seconds for the classic acceleration sprint.

Moreover, the all-new A1 version will also benefit from a special sporty chassis, while impressing with groundbreaking efficiency - just 5.9 liters of fuel per 100 km (39.87 US mpg) and CO2 emissions of just 139 g/km (223.70 g/mile).

In the terms of equipment and extras, the A1 1.4 TFSI compact city car will be able to exceed the expectations of even the most fastidious buyers, offering safety packege with two front airbags, thorax/pelvic side airbags and curtain head airbags, belt tensioners, belt force limiters and Audi integral headrest system, as well as sofix child seat anchor points in the rear. On board technology also include: xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, a LED interior lighting package,a high-beam assistant, light and rain sensors, a panoramic sunroof, a convenience key with start-stop button, two navigation systems and a 465-watt Bose surround sound system with 14 speakers.

According to Audi, the high-performance compact ride will be launched by the end of the year at the price tag of 24,250 Euro.
