After the premiere of the Chevrolet Sonic Z-Spec Concept at the North American International Auto Show earlier that year, Chevrolet is now demonstrating the first series Z-Spec accessorized 2012 Sonic rides, which are scheduled for market launch this fall.

Utilizing both exterior and interior upgrades, the Z-Spec accessory packs are designed to underline the Sonic model's youthful and aggressive styling.

Rick Scheidt, vice president, Chevrolet marketing, stated: "The new Z-Spec accessories reinforce Sonic's fun, youthful spirit. Customization is particularly important with the customers we believe will gravitate toward the Sonic, and we want to help them make their vehicle look exactly the way they want as easily as possible."

On the outside, the Z-Spec packed Sonic rides can be fitted with contrasting mirror caps and roof spoiler, contrasting upper and lower grille surrounds and a body graphics package, along with 16- and 17-inch painted lightweight rims. In addition to these cosmetic improvements, the Z-Spec package also has ground effects kit that features a front fascia extension, rocker panel extensions, rear fascia extension and silver exhaust tip.

Inside the cabin, the Z-Spec pack offers 2012 Sonic owners sporty aluminum pedals set and sill plates.
