The electric version of Renault Fluence will be produced in the OYAK-Renault Bursa plant in Turkey. Yesterday, Renault came out with this announcement. The production of the vehicle will start in the first half of 2011.

The model was introduced as Fluence Z.E. Concept, the EV will be manufactured on the same production line as the conventionally-powered versions of the vehicle. Because of this reason, Renault can have fast start, limit the entry price and in the same time to ensure high quality.

One of the main advantages producing Fluence EV in Bursa is that the vehicle can be marketed at the same attractive price as internal combustion models.

Renault Fluence is a midsize saloon, which is targeted to extend Renault's international presence. The vehicle has three battery charge options: standard charge, rapid charge and 'QuickDrop' battery exchange. Fluence will be launch first in Israel and Denmark, followed by other countries, from the first half of 2011.

Renault has decided to launch complete range of affordable zero-emission electric vehicles starting in 2011 and Renault Fluence EV is one of them.
