The UK airport taxi service company Checker Cars has taken delivery of the first of an order for 80 Toyota Prius cars. Just five units arrived at the company’s office in Essex, today. Checker Cars has 1000 drivers and is the official taxi operator not only at London Stansted but at Gatwick, Bristol, Cardiff and Southampton international airports. The company also services London Heathrow from an off-airport office.

Jaguar XF will benefit from a new 2.2 litre diesel with 190PS and 450Nm (332 lb-ft). The superbly efficient power unit returns 52.3 mpg on combined cycle and just 149 g/km of CO2.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S hits the market. The sports four-door coupe will have its official debut at the New York Auto Show or at Shanghai Auto Show.

Chrysler has introduced three S concept cars at the Spring Festival of LXs in Irvine, California.

At the upcoming Auto Shanghai 2011, Chevrolet has officially confirmed that its iconic Camaro model is about get publicly premiered.
The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro is also about to get a new name for the Chinese market - Ke Mai Luo, which undoubtedly sounds near to ‘Camaro’, but is more Asian-like.
