Audi has announced its V8-powered coupe flagship from A5 range – the 2012 RS5 mode, which is already available at the UK market. The prices start at “just” £58 725 OTR. Audi TT RS DTM will be run by Raeder Motorsport in two test races this month. There is a chance for the company to come back to the German Touring Car Championships.
The car is developed in partnership with Audi's Technical Development and Quattro divisions.
It is powered by the well-known 2.5 liter turbocharged TFSI engine, but a little upgraded with some parts from the Audi R8 LMS.

Audi confirmed the RS5 model for the US market. The car is powered by 4.2 liter V8 delivering 450hp at 8 250rpm and 430 Nm of torque (317.15 lb-ft).
The 4.2 FSI catapults the heavy sports coupe ( 1725kg) from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and the top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155mph). The limiter can be put on 280 km/h at customer’s request. The mighty V8 engine returns 21 mpg, which perfect for such brutal force.
