I have just stumbled on this video/thing on YouTube. It's from the Volkswagen channel and it's supposed to be a teaser. Yes, the Beetle is newish but the focus is not on it per se. In August, Discovery Channel are going to broadcast their annual “Shark Week” and Volkswagen will somehow be involved in it.
Why a Beetle then? Well, since the Inglostadt guys don't have a particular car named after a certain species of shark, why not? Besides, If we got this right, they will be putting togeth

When we heard that Schmidt Revolution are bringing out yet another Golf, we got excited. It was only after when we realized that the “programme” comprised solely of a set of wheels and a fancy audio system. The upside of the story is that, since the programme is just that, all Golfs are eligible to it. We were pleased to find out that Schmidt's weapon of choice was a Volkswagen Golf Mk 6 Convertible GTI.
That means 210 hp coming from a 2.0-liter TSI engine which in turn uses a PDK transmissio

2013 Volkswagen Polo BlueGT has the potential to set new benchmarks. It combines the aspects of “dynamics” and “fuel efficiency” and hence creates unheard levels of fuel efficiency.
The most important highlight in the new Polo is that it benefits from its TSI engine with active cylinder management (ACT). What it does is to basically shut off two of the engine’s four cylinders.
The torque-friendly 1.4-litre TSI engine produces power output of 103 kW / 140 PS. However it still is able to de

Back in the 50s hippies, surfers and generally happy-go-lucky people had the Volkswagen Caravelle (Transporter T2) to identify with. It was so big (as a name) that it became a symbol of simple life, peace and love. Jump forward 70 years later and we find ourselves at the other end of the spectrum. It's the Volkswagen Caravelle Business (Transporter T5) – the executives strike back.
It's a conference room on wheels basically. You get your Wi-Fi internet connectivity and Bluetooth, 5+1 Nappa le

Here's a treat for the eyes... and ears. An Audi A1 Quattro rummaging through a tight, gravel-ish path. Not sure if the 259 km/h was the end goal or end result but either way, it came out as a fact.
The Audi A1 Quattro, as you might have guessed, is far from ordinary. Sure, it has a 2.0 TFSI that can be found in many other Volkswagens and Audis, but the 256 PS generated here are put to maximum use by the Qauttro's suspension setup, ESP system and transmission - The electronically controlled,

Volkswagen are having a really mouth-watering lineup for the 2012 Auto Mobil International in Leipzig. We see some very recent faces such as the Volkswagen CC R-Line, the Beetle Fender and the Polo. The Volkswagen Scirocco however, takes the prize as probably the most exciting one out there. It's a GTS version which is said to carry the essence of the 70s and 80s back when the Scirocco models was first born.
It's a world premiere for this GTS version – a black and red stripe splitting the car

2012 Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabriolet is in fact the first ever convertible in GTI history, which is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 7.3 seconds. This is due to its outstanding engine, which is able to produce 210 horsepower and 280 Newton metres of torque from 1,700 rpm.
For decades GTI is considered one of the most original vehicles among compact sports cars. The numbers in sales speak for themselves. Volkswagen has sold over 1.8 million Golf GTI cars, and now is making a further

2012 Volkswagen Golf GTI Black Dynamic Concept has just made its debut at the 31st GTI Festival in Reifnitz on the Wörthersee in Austria. It comes to show unique black exterior, black-and-red interior, and more importantly – to give us a sense of 360 hp (265 kW).
This astounding power of the Volkswagen comes from its TSI engine and a lowered sport suspension. What is particularly interesting here is that nine Volkswagen apprentices from four professions have designed and produced this customi
